The AI battle is hotting up

Hello humans!

Another week, another possible threat to the future of humanity. These days there’s a whole Kellogg’s Variety Pack of dangers lurking ready to lay waste to your civilisation. There’s the climate crisis, the imbecility of world leaders like Donald J(umbo shitclown) Trump, Bird Flu, the continuing shitshow of Brexit, not to mention the asteroid that’s currently headed your way.

Solid as a rock

In case you missed this news, scientists have spotted another space rock (named 2024 YR4) that right now is hurtling on a possible collision course with Earth. They’ve even worked out that it’s the size of a twenty-storey building, and they know which part of the planet it might strike. (If you’re in the northern hemisphere, you’re ok.)

As a loyal Binface follower, I can exclusively give you more detail. The good news is that this asteroid is not going to hit Earth. The bad news? This asteroid is not going to hit Earth.

BUT as exciting as meteors are, that’s not the Armageddon candidate I want to focus on in this week’s post. No, if we’re perusing the variety pack I’m going to pick the Crunchy Nut Cornflakes of the bunch, and look at the latest goings on in AI. Because this week has been a big one on the road to Judgement Day, and I think I know the perfect response…
