May I begin by offering a quick word of condolence to the family, friends and fans of Chuck Norris, who at the age of 86 has gone to meet Chuck Norris. I don’t know about you, but BBC News playing clips from Delta Force was not on my 2026 bingo card.

Chuck was famous, and indeed infamous, for being a Trump supporter and for a slew of straight-to-video movies that were, how should we put it delicately, dogshit. And speaking of execrable videos and questionable political views, that brings us neatly onto Nigel Farage.

According to statistics in the Guardian this week, 4300 people have paid actual money for a personalised ‘Cameo’ message from the right-wing rent-a-gob, who has made more than £370,000 from recording the clips.

Firstly let me address directly those individuals who bought one of these videos: do yourself a favour and obtain some professional psychological assistance. There’s no shame in seeking help.

Where there is shame, however, and megatonnes of it, is in the activities of the aforementioned Farage.
